Indications for magnetostimulation
Indications of magnetostimulation as a
supplementary therapy (or by choice) include:
I. Analgesic action
1. osseous-joint system:
- degeneration of the spine and osseous-joint system of the upper and lower limbs
- rheumatoid inflammation of the joints
- stiffening inflammation (rigor) of the spinal joints
- joint injuries
2. soft tissue:
- extrajoint rheumatism - so-called fibromyalgia
- traumas of soft tissue
- conditions after injury(cutting) of tissue continuity (including post-surgical)
3. migraines
II. Regeneration action
1. osseous system:
- osteoporosis, particularly post-menopausal (concerns prophylaxis as well as therapy)
- Sudeck’s syndrome
- conditions after bone fracture and breakage
- conditions after operations on the osseous system
- conditions after operations in which anastomosis has been carried out with screws or nails
- pseudoarthrosis
2. soft tissues:
- conditions after injury with or without damage to skin continuity
- burns
- bedsores
III. Action improving peripheral circulation
1. improper local blood flow in the limbs:
- in diabetic angiopathy
- in atherosclerotic angiopathy
- in crural ulceration
2. accelerated absorption of haematomas
IV. Anti-spastic action
- conditions after apoplexy
- degenerative diseases of the nervous system, accompanied by spasticity
V. Relaxative action
- neuroses
- sleep disorders
-stress in the common meaning of the word, particulary after long-term psychic/mental tension
- concentration disturbances
VI. Shortening of the time of resolution after overload
- after sport training
- in biological regeneration
VII. Magnetostimulation in dentistry - as regenerative and analgesic action:
- periapical tooth inflamation
- nerve damage, complications after anaesthesia
- complication after dental surgery
- complication after endodonic treatment
- dry socket
- enhanced of orthodontic treatment
Contraindications to magnetostimulation
Contraindications concern the application of magnetostimulation as a method itself, and not the Viofor JPS Clinic/Delux apparatus. Emitted fields are a contraindication to application in an existing disease – whereas they are not a disease-developing factor. The diseases mentioned in contraindications have a source in other factors. At present, there is no information in literature describing the contraindications to magnetostimulation. However, when taking into consideration the comparatively short application time of magnetostimulation and similar physical character of magnetotherapy, the contraindications should be the same as in case of magnetotherapy:
- pregnancy
- neoplastic disease
- tuberculosis
- hyperthrosis
- bleedings from the alimentary tract
- severe infections of viral, bacterial and mytonic origin
- electronic implants
- conditions after organ transplants
Side effects, which may occur due to magnetostimulation
Until now, no serious side effects of magnetostimulation have been reported. The following effects might occur temporarily:
- tingling sensation
- a numbing sensation
- a warmth sensation
- sleep disorders, particularly in elderly people
- irritation
- concentration disorders
- a temporary intensification of pain.

With big pleasure we would like to transfer information, that apparatus for magnetic field and light therapy VIOFOR JPS System Clinic by the decision of Polish Promotional Emblem Chapter has been placed in circle laureates in I Edition of XVIII “Teraz Polska” Competition for Innovation.
“ Teraz Polska” Competition is the most prestigious competition in Poland, under honorable patronage of President of Poland. Its aim is to promote the best polish products and services.
This year’s edition aim, for the first time, was to choose and to reward with “Teraz Polska” Emblem the most innovatory solutions, enterprises who inculcate those innovations in practics and the promotion of scientists and engineers who elaborate those innovatory solutions technologically. This initiative refer to Lisbon Strategy and to governmental Operational Programme “Innovatory Economy” 2007-2013, which has to conduce to adjustment of research sector to entreprise’s needs, and it can positively affect the growth of innovatory solutions in economy.
The ceremonial took place in Great Theatre in Warsaw with participation of Polish President, members of Polish Parlament and Diplomatic Chapter. Statuette on behalf of Med & Life was received by Ms President Irena Osiak.
Mr and Mrs Osiak, as Laureates of this Competition were invited to Mr President’s Residence in order to receive The Letter of Appreciation.
