Summary:

Evaluation of effectiveness of analgesic therapy was aim of this work. Slow-changing magnetic field of low frequency (ELF) in group of patients with pain symptoms due to the so called humeral necrosis caused by the degenerative changes of intervertebral disc, was applied. The examined groups consists of 40 patients (23 men and 17 women) in age of 39-78 years. Patients suffered from pain lasting (with pauses) from 2 weeks to several years. The described therapy included the treatment with slow changing magnetic field of low frequency, as well as newest magnetic laser. Patients continue the described pharmacological therapy. The whole of treatment was performed in the Clinic of Internal Diseases in Bytom. Prior to therapy and after the treatment patients reported on pain using the modified 4-gradual scale VAS, as well as proportional scale. After 20-days treatment high therapeutic effectiveness was stated. Average, the pain decreased. Significantly statistic improvement in mobility was observed, as well. The paper presents quite new therapeutic method, which helps to decrease the pain and increase the mobility of affected joints.
