Magnetoledotherapy in treatment of pain rheumatoid arthritis of the knee

Summary:

WAnalgesic and anti-inflammatory efficacy of magnetoledotherapy was evaluated in group of patients with rheumatoid arthritis of the knee. The study was carried out on 40 patients: 19 men and 21 women in age 44-78 years. Magnetic low frequency field (ELF-MF) was synchronized with optical radiation (no lasers) emitted by high energetic diode LEDs and applied for the treatment. Patients during therapy continued prescribed pharmacotherapy. The therapy was carried out in Clinic of Diseases of Internal Angiology and Physical Medicine in Bytom. Before and after therapy patients filled modified 4-grades scale VAS, as well as proportional scale, in aim of pain assessment. The range of movement was also measured. After 30 days treatment of gonarthrosis the high therapeutic efficacy was stated.
