Influence of extremely low frequency magnetic fields on treatment of neuropathic pain. The disputable role of nitric oxide

Abstract:

Introduction. The neuropathic pain appears as result of the big nervous trunks damage. Pain troubles are associated with vegetative and sensation disorders. The NMDA receptors participate in the pain sensation and allodynia development.

Metodology and material. The study was conducted on people with neuropathic pain. They were subjected to low induction magnetic field. Subjective Scale of Complaint Evaluation was used to estimate extent of improvement. In this scale the maximum and real intensity of affliction was given score of ten points, lack of affliction was scored at zero.

Results. Magnetic stimulation alleviated the neuropathic pain and sensation disorder to a variable extent In two cases the pain and allodynia a disappeared.
